A.         Provision of the website and creation of log files

1. Description and scope of data processing

Each time you access our website, our system automatically collects data and information from the computer system of the accessing computer.

The following data is collected:

– Information about the browser type and the version used

– Language and version of the browser software

– The operating system of the user and its interface

– The Internet service provider of the user

– The IP address of the user

– Date and time of access and time zone difference to Greenwich Mean Time (GMT)

– Transferred amount of data

– Websites from which the user’s system accesses our website

– Websites accessed by the user’s system through our website

– Access status/HTTP status code

The data is also stored in the log files of our system.

2. Purpose of data processing

The temporary storage of the IP address by the system is necessary to enable delivery of the website to the user’s computer. For this purpose, the IP address of the user must remain stored for the duration of the session. The data is stored in log files to ensure the functionality of the website. The data is also used to optimise the website and to ensure the security of our information technology systems. An evaluation of the data for marketing purposes does not take place in this context.

3. Legal basis for data processing

The legal basis for the temporary storage of data and log files is our legitimate interest pursuant to Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. f DSGVO, which lies in the pursuit of the aforementioned purposes of data processing (Point II.A.2.), in particular the safeguarding of the functionality of the website and the security of our information technology systems.

Your data will not be passed on to third parties.

5. Duration of storage

The data will be deleted or anonymized after 30 days. If the data are stored in log files, they will be deleted after 30 days. The data will not be stored in a form that allows the identification of the data subjects. 

II.         Data processing in connection with sharing your story („Your Story“)

1. Description and scope of data processing

If you share your story with us, you do it voluntarily. We have no interest in your identity and only process the data necessary for you to tell us your story. To ensure maximum anonymity when sharing your story, please use the text box under „Your Story“. Only your IP address and your story will be disclosed to us. To protect your own privacy, please do not write us an e-mail, but use the text field provided for this purpose. Regardless of the chosen means of communication, please make sure that you do not use any real names. However, if we publish your story on our website, we will still exchange the names you provide with fantasy names. Under no circumstances will we publish any data known to us by you (such as IP address or e-mail address). If, based on the content of your story, we are concerned that your identity may not be adequately protected even through the use of fantasy names, we may not publish your story. In general, there is no claim that a story will be published on our platform.

2. Purpose of the data processing

The story you share with us will be published by us on our website in an anonymous form in order to create an awareness of sexism and to counteract the trivialisation and normalisation of sexism.

3. Legal basis for data processing

If you share your story with us, you do it voluntarily. The processing of your data is based on our legitimate interest in enabling communication between you and us so that you can tell us your story (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f DSGVO).

4. Recipient

Your data will not be passed on to third parties.

5. Duration of storage

Your data will only be stored until your story is published on our website or until we decide not to publish it. Once your story is online, we will delete any email you may have sent us. If you share your story with us via the text box under „Your Story“, your IP address will be automatically deleted after 30 days.

III. Your rights in connection with data processing

You as the person concerned are legally entitled to certain rights, to which we refer you in the following. Please note that these rights complement each other, so that you can only request either the correction or completion of your data or their deletion.

1. Right to information (Art. 15 DSGVO)

You can request information on the categories of data, the duration of storage, the recipients, the purpose of the data processed by us with regard to your person and the way in which they are processed.

2. Right to rectification (art. 16 DSGVO) and deletion (art. 17 DSGVO)

If we process personal data about you that is inaccurate or incomplete, you may request that it be corrected or completed.

You may also request the deletion of any unlawfully processed data.

3. Right to limit the processing (Art. 18 DSGVO)

If it is unclear whether the data processed on your person are incorrect or incomplete or are processed unlawfully, you may request that the processing of your data be restricted until this issue has been finally resolved.

4. Right of objection (Art. 21 DSGVO)
